About Research Consensus Explorer
Bridging the gap between scientific literature and public understanding.
Our Mission
In an era of information overload and conflicting health advice, our goal is to provide a transparent, evidence-based view of clinical research. The Research Consensus Explorer uses advanced AI to synthesize thousands of papers from PubMed, helping you understand the "weight of evidence" behind health claims.
How It Works
- Retrieval: We query the NCBI PubMed database for the most relevant peer-reviewed studies.
- Classification: Each paper is analyzed for its 'stance' (Support, Refute, or Neutral) relative to your query.
- Weighted Consensus: We calculate consensus by weighting papers based on their evidence type (e.g., RCTs carry more weight) and scientific confidence.
- Thematic Extraction: The system identifies key themes like safety, efficacy, and biological mechanisms across all papers.
Scientific Integrity
We prioritize high-quality evidence. Our system is designed to distinguish between preliminary observational studies and robust randomized controlled trials (RCTs). The "Consensus Meter" reflects the current state of scientific agreement, providing immediate visual insight into topics with strong vs. conflicting evidence.
